Milestone 1: Accessibility

Our team ran an accessibility check on the ESPN website. We used multiple accessibility checkpoints including: small text, contrast errors, structural elements, etc. to evaluate if they were satisfied by the ESPN website. From this milestone, we grasped the concept of 'Design for All' and further understood the importance of accessibility.

Milestone 2:
Using Inspiration

Our team drew inspiration from Pierre Nicolas Huilliot’s Still Life with Silver and Gold Vessels, Fruit, and Flowers at the Blanton Museum of Art. We created a low-to-mid-fidelity prototype of Venus, a dating app that prioritizes quality over quantity with AI-powered matchmaking.

Milestone 3: Story Mapping

Continuing the development of our dating app — Venus, we conducted user research and a competitor analysis to find key features that could set our dating app apart. By creating an affinity diagram and story map, we found 6 key activities for our app, and we studied those activities to help us finalize our mid-fi prototype for the app.

Milestone 4: Hi-Fidelity Prototype

Starting with design systems, we developed our high-fidelity prototype for our project Venus.

Milestone 5:
Microinteractions

After testing our initial prototype, we revisited the design with a focus on improving key moments in the user experience. Through microinteractions, we aimed to create a more responsive, playful, and emotionally engaging user experience.
